Category #8 – Most Impactful Alimah

This category is seeking to award an Alimah that have shown through their work positive impact in the Mosque and/or in the surrounding community.

Impact could relate to changes in behaviour, change in community perceptions, contributions to community activities or programmes that are changing peoples lives.

Judges will be looking for evidence or testimonials to demonstrate impact.

Ustadha Ameena Blake

Ustadha Ameena embraced Islam in 1992. Her academic qualifications include undergraduate in English Studies, Post Graduate in teaching, MSc in Leadership and Management and MA in Islamic Studies.Ameena has been active since 1994 having studied under various shuyukh and academics.

Ustadha Sidrah Ahmed
(Al-Hayat Centre)

Ustadha Sidrah is very active within the community and leader at the Al-Hayat Centre in Southampton. She is also the founder of the Sister2Sister initiative (as a counsellor and advisor for sisters) and is involved with the YouTube channel, Naseeha: In Light of the Quran and Sunnah.

Ustadha Uzma Minhas
(Hubb Education)

Ustadha Uzma is the founder of Hubb Education. She has produced Islamic curriculum and workshops that teach children through creativity, multi-sensory and play.
